Mountainside destinations are on the list of favorites of a lot of people. Mountainous areas often offer some of the most mesmerizingly beautiful images, and going for a vacation in such a place makes for a great relaxation opportunity.
The highest elevation points in some countries might be inaccessible though, but usually, the surrounding landforms are impressive enough and great for checking out. If you’re a simple tourist, you might not want to climb the Everest on your weekend trip, but if you’re traveling to Greece, for example, Mount Olympus – which has the country’s highest elevation point – is quite nice to explore and there are many hotels and taverns nearby. Book a hotel room in Greece or wherever you want and go enjoy the high of your vacation!

Although when we say highest elevation point, the first thing that comes to mind are high mountain peaks, some countries have low high elevation points. The Maldives, this very popular exotic destination, doesn’t go any higher that 5 meters. No peaks there, for sure, but the beaches and water villas definitely make up for it.
