The spring and fall months are great for planning your trip to Milan if you are looking to enjoy some of the wonderful festivals that take place in the city. The summer months are the most crowded in Milan, therefore the most expensive for flights and hotels. September to November and May are less crowded, the weather is generally pleasant, it is a good period for visiting, but you should bring an umbrella, as there is more rainfall during this time, compared to the summer.
