Economy of Serbia
From a population total of 7,012,165, the labor force is 2.92 million (2017 est.). The main products in agriculture are: wheat, maize, sunflower, sugar beets, grapes/wine, fruits (raspberries, apples, sour cherries), vegetables (tomatoes, peppers, potatoes), beef, pork, and meat products, milk and dairy products. Among the main industries considerable for the economy are: automobiles, base metals, furniture, food processing, machinery, chemicals, sugar, tires, clothes, pharmaceuticals. Its exports cover automobiles, iron and steel, rubber, clothes, wheat, fruit and vegetables, nonferrous metals, electric appliances, metal products, weapons and ammunition. The main import products are: machinery and transport equipment, fuels and lubricants, manufactured goods, chemicals, food and live animals, raw materials.
