Getting to know Tenerife
What you can do for free in Tenerife
- Visit Teide National Park
Is the perfect place to explore if you are a nature lover. The park surrounds the Teide Mountain; the volcano that erupted here millions of years ago has enabled some rather bizarre landforms to form and spark the interest of visitors. - Enjoy the beaches
Tenerife is one of the few places where you can really enjoy a beach day even in early spring, sunbathing and taking advantage of warm temperatures. Find the nearest beach to your accommodation and get ready for a great time. - Visit the History and Anthropology Museum
This fascinating museum can be visited for free on Friday and Saturday afternoons. This is where you’ll find a whole lot of interesting information about the history and culture of the island of Tenerife.

Try out the fantastic meals in Restaurante Donaire, Arte del Gusto, El Refugio del Vilaflor, Dabeke, or any other restaurant that you find appealing.
Recommended time for visiting
As it was previously mentioned, Tenerife is a warm place all year. This “eternal spring” attracts tourists all the time, but, as anywhere in the world, some months are busier than other. Summer is definitely the season that sees the biggest crowds, so spring and autumn are mild and pleasant, while winter usually attracts the older bunch of tourists. Spring and summer are good for beach going, while autumn is perhaps better for walking around and exploring the island.
